Hi Party Planners!!! Petunia Potts here. I believe in reading to children. Yes, I do! My only problem is that I can't read upside down. But we, the children, and I snuggle up and play detective/researcher in looking at the pictures and 'LISTENING' carefully to the words. We can even read the same book twice. I believe READING IS THE KEY TO LEARNING, so as we start, I present each child a key so they may unlock learning from the book we're reading. The chosen stories will always have a life lesson. I have found children have beautiful nuggets of wisdom to share as we discuss what they've learned from the story. I bet you've discovered that too.

I have gathered a library of children's books and created "themed readings." We could, for example, read about kindness, sharing, feeling insecure, about dads, moms, and much more.   You get the idea.  Some places for readings could be at a preschool, elementary school, home, church, birthday party, your child's in-home daycare, or something special for the children during a family gathering.
